  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 400 ml milk
  • 250 g plain yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • salt, a small pinch
  • 250 g mixed berries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract · can skip
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds · can skip

Method

  1. Stir the oats, milk, yoghurt, maple syrup, salt, and the vanilla and chia seeds if you are using them together in a bowl.
  2. Divide it between four jars or tubs with lids, or leave it in the bowl and cover it.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until the oats are soft and the mixture is thick.
  4. In the morning, stir each portion and loosen it with a splash of milk if it is too thick.
  5. Top with the berries just before eating. Frozen berries thaw nicely if you add them the night before.
